A couple Sundays back (November 8), we decided to go for an afternoon drive. We have been wanting to go see Mesa Falls for a long time (which for us, is the beginning of this year haha), but have never made it.
We tried to go when my parents visited us around March of this year, but the road was closed.
We finally made it though, and it was gorgeous!
And chilly... An older couple we made friends with there asked if we'd just come from the beach. We weren't exactly dressed for the weather. Haha! Sweet couple let us use their binoculars and took pictures for us too :)
The lower falls
Our theory here is that the mist coming off the waterfall, hits this mountain, and freezes. The white frosted trees were one of my favorite parts.
The upper falls
Notice the snow...
We decided we don't envy people like Lewis and Clark who would have been canoeing down this nice river, unsuspecting, till they realized there is no river up ahead. Paddle to the side quickly friends!
Frosty trees again
Thanks for reading!
