Our Seed Babies

We planted strawberry seeds about two and a half months and ONLY TWO GERMINATED. Then one of those DIED. It was upsetting. We planted some snapdragon seeds. Then, right before Christmas break, we planted more strawberries (a lot) and the one lonely little strawberry that had survived fell over. The grow light Sam had gotten me for Christmas (early ;) showed up, so we set it up in our little greenhouse in our spare bedroom, watered really well, zipped all the planties up, and left for two weeks with no idea if anything would be alive when we returned.

BEFORE:

^^ The six-packs full of strawberry seeds right after we planted them and right before we left.

AFTER:

^^Snap-babies right after we got back (I think that's when this was haha).

^^And the Snap-babies now!! They grow quite a bit slower than I expected haha.

Our straw-baby that had fallen down recovered! This photo was taken right after Christmas break. He's the one in the bottom right cell. He's still our biggest one :) And can you see the little one two cells over from him?? That little guy popped up while we were gone! Slowly, we've watched more pop up almost every day since. It's the best! (And Sam totally gets into it too :)

Here's the big one and his little buddy now. Crazy right??

We now have a total of 27 straw-babies (that I can find right now--they're so teeny!). Woo Hoo!! How many can you find in the photos below?

And those are our plant babies! We love 'em!
And yes, I know I sound like e a crazy plant lady. I am.
